New Artistic Director of MNT Appointed
We are pleased to inform the public that, as of today, the position of Artistic Director of the Macedonian National Theatre will be held by the distinguished theatre professional, Marko Stefanovski.
At today’s press conference, he was officially introduced to the ensemble and the media. Stefanovski brings more than 20 years of experience in theatre arts, as a director of numerous award-winning productions both in the country and abroad.
“My vision is for MNT to become a center of contemporary theatrical thought in the region. We will focus on bold, innovative projects, while also preserving the national dramatic heritage,” stated the new director.
In his program for the next four-year term, he announced:
- Increasing the number of co-productions with European theatres.
- Digitization of the theatre’s archive.
- Establishment of a stage dedicated to young directors.
