The theme of the play is children’s boredom in modern times. The authors encourage both children and parents to allow boredom to exist, instead of constantly filling children’s time with various obligations just to avoid it. The child characters, Vanja and Bojana—representatives of today’s generation—at one point encounter characters from the imaginary land of Nedojdija. They eventually switch places in order to prove whose time is more boring. The play concludes by encouraging children to believe in the magic of play and to learn to communicate verbally with one another.
