On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Macedonian National Theater, on December 29, the stage spectacle "The Sun, How Close is the Sun - Made in MNT" by the prominent director Dejan Projkovski will be premiered on the main stage.

The performance is a fusion of the past and the present through the key values ​​of MNT - love, artistic courage, dedication, vision, teamwork, preserving tradition and creating new values ​​for the future.

The play is an audiovisual journey through Macedonian dramaturgy, poetry, prose and fine arts. An emotional story dedicated to the great actors, directors, playwrights and all those professionals behind the scenes, responsible for creating the stage universe at the Macedonian National Theatre.

The audience will be part of a grand journey into the theatre of the sun. This major stage spectacle will merge various means of expression with an emphasis on 3D video mapping. The idea is to tell the story of MNT’s 80-year theatrical existence through the creation of multimedia scenes in an original way, primarily through a powerful visual expression.

The stage performance is inspired by everything that is important, emblematic, and recognizable about the Macedonian National Theatre, Macedonian culture and tradition, and Macedonia in general.
