MNT guest performance in Budapest with “An Enemy of the People”

The ensemble of the Macedonian National Theatre (MNT) traveled today to Budapest, where it will participate in the prestigious 10th International Theatre Festival “MITEM.”

This is a significant moment for Macedonian culture, as MNT will present itself to the international audience with one of its most successful performances from the current repertoire – “An Enemy of the People” by Henrik Ibsen, directed by Nina Nikolić.

Cultural diplomacy in action

The performance is scheduled for February 7 at the National Theatre of Hungary. In addition to the performance, meetings with colleagues from the region and across Europe are planned, with the goal of strengthening cooperation and arranging future co-productions.

The MNT team, consisting of over 30 members (actors, technical staff, and artistic leadership), is ready to convey the powerful message of Ibsen’s drama, which remains strikingly relevant even after more than a century.

The return to Skopje is planned for February 9, after which the performance will continue as part of the regular repertoire on its home stage.
